Greetings from Lizella Georgia
Howdy folks. I've been daily carrying concealed and open for over a couple of years now. Thankfully the carry laws in Georgia aren't too draconic.
Currently my regular carry piece is a full sized Para P14.45 1911 in a Supertuck Delux from Crossbreed Holsters. Great holster that's very comfortable to wear all day IWB and still conceals that massive pistol. The gun shoots great with the original magazines. I've got two newer magazines from Para for it, but the springs in those are noticeably weaker and they regularly FTB so I only use them for occasional range work. A pity too, since the base plates for those magazines are far better than those on the original mags and the magazine bodies on the new ones have a smoother finish and bullet check holes. I swapped out the three-dot fiber-optic sights on the firearm for a set of tritium novak style sights and the gun shoots dead on at about fifteen yards. I feed it a steady diet of 230gr ball for practice and carry 29 rounds of Federal HST +P with me for personal defense.
Sometimes (read: when I'm not working in the big city) I carry a Colt SAA clone loaded with soft lead bullets in a traditional western belt and holster. I also carry a .22 magnum revolver when I go fishing, predominately for shootin' snakes but I could press it into use in the very unlikely event of a self-defense situation.
Other than that I have rifles and shotguns for home defense.
Look forward to many long discussions with you guys; looks like y'all got a good group of people here.
