Hello from Oklahoma
Good Morning from Oklahoma,
I'm looking forward to reading & learning from this forum! I have not yet taken a class or gotten my ccl but I'm working towards it by doing as much researching & reading as possible. And hopefully after the first of the year I will have all my ducks in a row! There is so much to consider & with Oklahoma law changing on Nov 1st from conceal to open carry that just adds more to be considered! Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading, posting & meeting new people on this forum!

Howdy. After you get some training I'd strongly urge you to consider carrying concealed. I know Oklahoma is about to allow open carry but IMHO it will be better for you to learn to become most comfortable carrying concealed before/if you go to open carry.

I agree I would still conceal carry no need to tip your hand to the BG and become his primary target in and open carry situation. Welcome and good hunting

It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6!!

Thanks everybody!! As of right now, I am leaning towards conceal carry instead of open carry! I'm thinking that when open carry goes into effect that it will actually make it a little easier for conceal carry so you might not have to worry quite so much!

Welcome from Wisconsin, Stephanie! Open carry makes concealment just that much easier. If your gun shows while concealing then - oh, well. Not saying that if you really want to conceal it then it should remain concealed but at least you won't wind up in the slammer if there's a slip.

Welcome to the forum from SE Michigan. There are a lot of knowledgable people here. I am not one of them.
