Hi All from Palm Bay FL
I've been a long time shooter, and recently got my CCW. Being in FL, it is hot and we dress light so carrying a larger weapon isn't always practical. I have a M&P Shield as my prefered carry piece, and a .32 Seecamp for pocket carry figuring the little mouse gun in your pocket is better than the full size at home.
I'm a big fan of Jon Gutmacher's "Florida FIrearms Law, Use & Ownership". Lots of good information and really helps you to understand the responisbilities you assume when you carry, and the do's and don'ts.
This is a great site and I can tell I'll be spending some time here.

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
