Hello the Windy
New to forum. I hail from near the gun haters paradise known as Chicago. (Joliet area to be precise)
Been shooting something since I was 7 yrs old. Since IL won't recognize our unalienable right to self protection, I went out of state to ensure I could carry when on the road.
I post under the screen name Automatic (have used this on newsgroups for years). I appreciate you all allowing me to join the forum and your willingness to share what you've learned. Hopefully, I'll be able to contribute something as well.
Respectfully,
Mike (Automatic)

Freedom doesn't come free. It is bought and paid for by the lives and blood of our men and women in uniform.

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Greetings from a former Chicago area guy (Naperville last). My son works at the Cat plant in Joliet.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day
There's nothing that will change someone's moral outlook quicker than cash in large sums.
Majority rule only works if you're also considering individual rights. Because you can't have five wolves and one sheep voting on what to have for supper.

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.
