    Intro

Hi My name is Mark and I'm new to the forum, although I use it for research ALL THE TIME! Lotsa knowledgeable folks here...thanks for the tips. I'm currently looking for a 9mm concealed carry weapon, but I don't want anything TOO small where I can only shoot a coupla hundred rounds through it, or it kicks like a mule because of it's micro sizing....any thoughts???

    Hi Mark.
I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.

    Welcome from Wisconsin!

A good choice for a mid-size in 9MM is a Glock 19. Another would be M&P9C. There's probably 50 guns to choose from meeting your specs & I'll bet you'll get 50 answers, lol.

Thanks, that's the gun that keeps popping up during my searches and even at the gun shop I frequent. Glock 19!

    Welcome from So Cal!

I had an lc9 that I grew to dislike for the trigger and the felt recoil after a few dozen rounds. Kahr pm9 or cm9 may work, but I have no experience with em. The glock 19 is ugly, ugly and ugly, but unless your using it as bait for a lady who cares. They are great guns, that as mentioned would probably fit your bill if double stack width isn't an issue. M&p and xd are other options. I am not a glock guy for the ergonomics, but know they are great guns. I compared every choice to a glock before going with an xd.

Welcome from Texas. I'd suggest starting a thread in the "Defensive Carry Guns" forum so that you could get a little more specific about what you are looking for in a 9mm that you will be carrying...there are a lot of factors to consider.
