Welcome from Wisconsin! In no time you'll get the hang of the forum. Unfortunately since you've already received an infraction it'll take longer before they show you the secret handshake & longer yet to get your decoder ring.

HOLY COW ! I received about 35 welcome messages - after it took me about 10 minutes to find / figger out how to read all those messages.... I was over at the gun store a few days ago, looking at a Ruger - a $349 dollar Ruger....it had some letters after it... was a small pocket automatic - I'm looking... Is this a place to buy / sell handguns?

I read the directions - then somehow I found a forum about RUGER LCP (?) and tried to read their messages - I tried to log in 3 or 4 times and kept getting messages about not registered - Well, I thought I registered a few days ago.... I think I better forget about using your web site ? What did I do wrong? (if anything)

As with nearly all web sites (such as forums) that have login steps, you need to ensure your web browser's settings are open enough to allow the setting of cookies by the web site. For example, I generally have mine locked down tight, but I've put in a setting for "defensivecarry.com" to specifically allow DC to set whatever it needs in order to accomplish a login. Without that setting, I could attempt logging in 'til the cows come home and it wouldn't "stick." Unknown if this is your issue, but it's worth verifying in your browser's "cookies" settings.

One thing I know is if you post sumpin like this @#$%^&%$# or this ***#@#** you get a message from a moderator and you get points,I'm not sure how many points you need to win the Big Teddy Bear, but I think I got close a couple of times

Yup, don't want to go there. We all know where "there" is. And a Big Teddy Bear ain't gonna help.

I've never used "@#$%^&%$#" myself. Did try a couple of "******" though, and those didn't go over well. Nicely, the automatic anti-bald-words mechanism caught 'em, so I was able to quickly correct 'em.
