New guy from MD
Hey everyone gonna be a new owner soon but have been around handguns for my whole life. I will have a bunch of questions and I will ask them in different questions. The first I have is what does everyone here think about Taurus handguns? Also looking heavily at a beretta px9 storm, the S&W SD9 ve, but what I really have my eye on is the ruger p95. I also am going to get a tlr-1 attachment.

Welcome from Alabama! I've only had one Taurus, a .22 revolver about 20 years ago. It shot so far to the left that even with the rear blade all the way over to the right, I still was shooting about 6 inces or so left of point of aim. The dealer took the gun back, and I got a Smith model 63 in it's place. The Smith shot to point of aim. That was only one experience, and was a long time ago.

Heh ya. Welcome. I'm an old hand from the Annapolis area/Severn River area.
There are some scary smart people who are on the Forum = good advice, but as always, weight it before implementation.
Note: I got a polite slap down my first week here, but all is forgivien. This site is very well moderated :-) and I am nobody here.
Either of your primary origionl post (above) referenced to carry hand guns (weapons) of choice are valid. At the end of the day, go with what you know!
No doubt, people here will try to validate your preference!
Semper Fi, and for what it is worth, welcome here. Ask questions (I did) and learned a lot more than I already knew after 2 decades and change in the USMC.

Welcome aboard from NC. Lived in Maryland till 2002 , then moved to NC. Please don't get your hopes up about concealed carry. We're all rootin for you, but Md is controlled by Baltimore, Baltimore county, Montgomery and Prince Georges counties. I don't know how so many liberals all got together in one space. Believe me they will try every trick they can think of to get around the 2nd Amentment.

Welcome from Wisconsin!
I personally have had bad experiences with Taurus pistols.....over 10-15yrs ago. I have not had much experience since, but it still contributes to my bias to never own one. I have heard and read of some folks having decent experiences with them.
Beretta and S&W make great firearms. Some Ruger designs are good, some seem to get some negative feedback. If you are open to look, there are still many other brands that may fit the bill. Bersa for economy pistols are great, but you cant really go wrong with Springfield Armory, Glock, FN, etc. See how they fit and try to shoot a friends to help you decide. Good luck and welcome!

Which is exactly why the problem is being attacked at the federal level so that it completely negates the big 4 (and Baltimore County isn't one of the problems, it's Howard County).
Yes, MD will kick and scream, but the reality is that even the antis on the inside realize that MD's discriminatory policies are on the way out.
