Greetings and Hello to everyone from the sunny state of florida. been a follower of the site for a bit decided to join just recently . been a firearm owner and concealed for a few years now. my personal carry is a Sig Sauer P250 subcompact in .40S&W. personally i like the weapon it is very concealable on me even in my usual tshirts and jeans attire. i am a prior USAF Law Enforcement specialist of 10 yrs and avid range shooter. my roommate packs a glock 26 in 9mm and continually tries to convert me but i love my little Sig. the adaptability of it with different calibers and variants is what got my attention. so far have had no problems with it but may go to a glock 23 eventually. i am a big supporter of pro gun laws . fla has a relaxed concealed carry position in my opinion. my roommate when he went to hs ccw class listened to a lecture for 2.5 hours and fired 2 rds from a .22 into a barrel bulletstop to pass. me i went to a 2 hour briefing and actually had to fire 50 rounds to pass. the background check from start to finish was approx 3 days. i had my permit 10 days from the day of fingerprinting to my actually receiving it in the mail.

Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

I have a very strict gun control policy: if there's a gun around, I want to be in control of it.
