Hello from WA
Hey folks. While I'm not new to forums or firearms, I'm new to concealed carrying. I'm a student at the University of Idaho and a resident of Washington State (Bremerton if you know the area). I've never really felt the need to carry a gun on me while carrying on business as usual while not in school up until the last year with a big spurt on crime in the western WA area, as well as here in Moscow (not so much here). I'm finishing up my undergrad here in music education and will be doing my student teaching in western WA in the fall. I now carry a Smith and Wesson M&P whenever I leave the house with my brand new N82 Pro holster. I figure if I was going to commit to a responsibility such as carrying a gun, I should do it right and did my research on my gun and holster. I practice shooting my Smith about once a week, but with dead week and finals here, it's going to be tough to get out. I also shoot clays with my Mossberg 500 with friends whenever I can.
I've decided to join a forum to get to know more about carrying, as well as shooting and any tips and tricks people are willing to share. This isn't something you should learn by yourself, especially when there are other people out there willing to teach.

Hello VandalSax, and welcome from Missouri to this great forum. Good folks & LOTS of info here! You may want to check out the many videos made by Massad Ayoob on YouTube - he is a world class expert on use of lethal force and personal defense. There are a number of multi-set videos that have been recorded of him teaching these subjects. Very good info, and free.
