Hello, Mack, and welcome from neighboring Missouri to this great forum. Good folks and LOTS of info here! Since you're new to this sport, as many folks will recommend, do get some formal training in your specific weapon's use. Also, I highly recommend that you check out the many free YouTube videos made by Massad Ayoob - a world-reknowned instructor in use of lethal force and self defense. He has recorded a number of formal training sessions - very good info to absorb. Just google him, and if you have problems, PM me as I have a list of many of the URLs.
