Welcome from Northern California! I don't have any experience shooting that model but someone may chime in on what they know. If you don't mind me asking though, is there a specific reason to go with the .45 and not a shotgun for home defense in her case? Maybe she prefers a .45? Just a thought.

I really mainly got it for me as well but when i know she will be home alone like on certin nights she alone allnight , on my next check (2 weeks ) im going to get a 12 gauge tactical pistol grib and front grip . load it with a regular shell, buck shot ,slug,buck,slug, and a regular shell

I'm not familiar with the gun but I use .40 cal Speer Gold Dots & Federal Tactical HST Bonded in mine. Many on this site like that ammo & use it in many gun varieties & calibers.
