Welcome from Northern California! I don't have any experience shooting that model but someone may chime in on what they know. If you don't mind me asking though, is there a specific reason to go with the .45 and not a shotgun for home defense in her case? Maybe she prefers a .45? Just a thought.

It sounds like you've got a plan. The more practice that she gets with all of this stuff, the more at ease you can be while you're at work. I know how that goes. Best of luck to you with your new purchases. And maybe have an open mind to calling a full-tube buckshot audible.

    Welcome from Wisconsin, Oilfield!

I'm not familiar with the gun but I use .40 cal Speer Gold Dots & Federal Tactical HST Bonded in mine. Many on this site like that ammo & use it in many gun varieties & calibers.
