I recently had an event in my life that reinforced my desire to keep a gun for protection. Trying to be smart I did my research, found an indoor range, took some classes, was taught gun safety, went through CCP training and got my certificate, and tested about a dozen hand guns. I am new to this and want to be safe, do it right, but be ready to use my weapon to defend myself when necessary. The first thing I learned is duh, this is a gun. Now you need to know about the bullets. That is another lesson all together. But with forums like this I am learning. I may not post often but I will be reading a good bit. Meanwhile I am earning respect at the range. Seems I have something the instructor calls "natural aim". Anyone ever heard of this? Must be good because I was getting a lot of high fives. I think it means I have the ability to defend myself...that is a good thing.

May I be somewhat humble to impart on you to keep going to the range and learning.

Kudos (meaning my respect) on where you are. As an above poster gave you a link to OR. Go and meet and learn.

As far as 'Natural Arm' as a Command, us Marines just pop up the right hand and salute the closest painted rock (it's ususally white but can be O.D. at times).............

Just kidding............ never heard that as a range command before..............

Any of you'all others can educumate me on that one.........................?????

    Welcome here and Semper Fi,
