    Good Scope??????

Hey Guys, I just bought a new ar15, the one in my photo. I'm a person who likes the light and mobile ability of the gun so I don't want to decorate it too much. But does anybody have any ideas on decent optics that will be good from 30yards to a max of 200. I like using the sights that I have but I need something that will bring me closer to long range targets, animals, etc. Thanks

Welcome to the forum..... You photo doesn't show here...... As far as what scope much depends on what you will use if for, how much you will use it and how much you are willing to spend.

Price wise, up to 800. I've got a lot of land and I go out to take care of the hogs out there. I usually use the open sights on my SKS. But now that I have the AR, I feel the absolute need to get something on there that may make it easier to put the animal in target. Scope or I've seen those EoTech things. I've never used one nor looked through one. Are they any good for pest control?

I like that scope QKshooter.... May have to check it out thanks

Welcome from Wisconsin! The only optics I'm familiar with is the EOTech. Not quite a scope but still offers some magnification. A great aiming system on an AR platform. My son has one on his M14. He loaned it to a friend when he deployed to Afghanistan with the Marine Corps who also loved it.

    Welcome to the forum!!

I have a red dot (Aimpoint) mounted on mine, and for that extra distance a 3X that flips in behind it. That covers the range you are looking for.
