    Howdy

    Hello,
    New member here - I am happy to join the forum and look forward to contributing to the overall discussion.
    I am currently carrying a Springfield XD Sub Compact .40. I carry in several different ways. Appendix carry, Cheap cloth and plastic shoulder rig, Blackhawk Level 2 OWB.
    I am itching for a 4" 1911 and doing a ton of research on this - that is how I found the forum.
    Thinking about starting with an import 1911 and getting a feel for the gun and the carry experience before really getting into the higher end models.
    Also going to go with an IWB holster for this (thinking Crossbreed) and finally getting a good quality leather shoulder rig.

    I do the occasional IDPA course and am starting the process of exposing my kids to the range.

    Any thoughts, greeting and other ideas are welcome.
