Hello from Missouri
Hi. I'm a new member. Retired Army, working as a civilian for the Army. As soon as I retire for good and no longer have to spend most of my waking hours on Federal property I plan on getting my CCW and will probably carry most of the time, now it's too much of a hassle. I have two sons in law enforcement, one in Missouri and one in Utah.
I look foreward to some good info from you.

Welcome; it is better to get the permit now even if you only carry part time. By the time you retire, you will have all the bugs worked out.
