    Not fake, just bad service

Personal Choice Outfitters is not fake, they just have bad service. Here's my experience, in case anyone is interested.

On Oct. 30 I ordered a box of Speer Gold Dot 9mm short barrel ammo ($21.44) from them because I wanted to try it out in my M&P Shield and my LGS did not carry it. I also ordered a box of Gold Dot .380 while I was at it ($17.54). On Nov. 15 I received the 9mm but not the .380 so I followed up via email. I received a reply via email (pcointl2013@gmail.com) on Nov. 19 that they would send out the other box of ammo. The next week they actually called me on the phone and said they were sorry but they did not have any Gold Dot .380 and asked if I would like to wait for it to come in stock (2 week estimate) or cancel that item; I said I'd wait for it. When it did not arrive I followed up again on Jan. 4 and got this email reply the next day: "Due to an extremely and unusual high volume of orders, we are severely backed up with a high volume of calls and email responses. Please be patient we will contact you in the order request are received. Due to our high volume." Yesterday (Jan. 11) I still had not received a response so I filed a dispute with the credit card for the unshipped box of ammo.

It looks to me like they put up a web store and did not have nearly enough resources to satisfy the demand. I was suspicious when I ordered from them, that's why I ordered only two inexpensive items so I could test them out. I will not attempt to do business with them again.

"If its on the internet, it has to be legit"... hmmm...

I concur, buy from the guys who are on this website... or are recommended by other members here. Not worth saving a couple of bucks just look at the hassle the OP went through trying to get his money back...

I too buy mostly local and from my FFL who normally will beat any price I find...

Sorry to hear of your problems with that company. I've no idea if they are fake, or just not up to the task as someone else suggested. If misery loves company I can tell you I was once duped out of 200 bucks. Worst part, my wife keeps telling me
she thought I was the last person on earth they could scam. Now suddenly I'm Mr. Easymark. Good luck recovering your money.

Seems like they have put a lot of work in their website to be fake.

I've got an order in with them, and went to their website to check the status (again). It still says "Processing" however next to "My Orders" at the top of the page is the number 4060. My order number is 49xx, so I'm wondering if that's how far behind they are. I'm going to watch this for the next few days and see if that increments up at all.

    Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
