    Hello from North Louisiana

    I find this site very helpful and interesting as I am new to the carry community. While I had, and taught, weapons training in the military (Army-enlisted/70-72, and NG/AR officer/73-82); have hunted and used guns all my life (NRA Life and now Endowment member); and shot competition sporting clays for 20 years, at this time my primary interest is in the area of defending a small congregation from human predators both armed and unarmed. As a Christian I take the use of lethal force seriously and especially when in a "church" group setting. I am leading the effort to prepare our church family and appreciate any advice on this subject by those who respect life, law, and God's word. While nothing can substitute for using good judgement, I believe God approves the use of deadly force by our "rulers" and those who follow the laws of the land to save and protect life which is threatened by the ungodly (Rom 13:4).
