Greetings
Hello from Colorado Springs. I have been shooting for years, and have been thinking of getting a concealed carry permit for a while, but find myself more motivated of late. I love 1911s. I am working through how to carry one. I read that several people do, and I am interesed in thoughts about a full sized gun. I shoot really well with it and could assemble/disassemble it in the dark. However, I hear that it will likely get heavy and irritating, which equals "left at home."
Also interested in thoughts about the small 1911s. They would be a handful with standard ammo, but my reloading book suggests that I could load it down to something comperable in energy to a 9mm. That should make the recoil manageble so long as I have enough to work the slide. This would spare me adding yet another caliber to my ammo storage. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks

Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
