Hello from Maine!
Hello,
I'm a resident of Maine and a gun owner:smile:. I enjoy shooting targets with pistol but I'd like to learn more about defensive pistol use and maybe even pistol hunting. I do shoot about 500 rounds of .357, .38, .22 and 9mm (mostly .22 in my Sig Mosquito) so I hope they don't impose to stringent a ban on ammo purchases. :icon_neutral:
I am not a native of Maine. When I lived in Buffalo I was mugged by two men and I was determined to never let that happen again so I studied karate. When I lived in Harrisburg I lived next to a crack head who kept threatening me so I started carrying a 9mm pistol. I sold the pistol before moving back to New York for a different job. I've lived in Maine now though for 10 years and recently decided since I'm here I need to learn how to hunt and relearn how to fish.
I think Maine practice of requiring a hand gun safety course for carry concealed is a good practice. I learned quite a bit in the one day course I took.
