Well, let's see. When I was 22 we didn't have forums, or Internet, or even ethernet. No email, no Facebook, no Twitter, no cell phones. My God, how did we survive! POTS (plain old telephone system) and snail mail.

Welcome to the forum from Grandpa in southern NH.

Welcome from the great state of Texas. We used to live in San Bernardino, in fact my son was born there about 18 years ago. We moved to Texas shortly after that and haven't looked back. This is a great forum and I'm sure you'll learn a lot from the knowledgeable folks here.

    Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

I just got my first gun not too long ago. It is a Hi-Point C9. I had heard some good and bad things about it, but it had 3 big things that drove it home for me: 1) Made in USA, 2) No Questions Asked Lifetime Warranty, 3) Price! I spent ~$150 on the gun, which I thought would be good considering all the other things that I would be buying to start up shooting. You've gotta start somewhere! Hopefully before this summer I will have another handgun, my buddy has a Springfield XD 9mm that I like a lot. Any suggestions on an economical handgun (<$700) preferably a 9mm. I am also looking for a gun that my girlfriend can take to the range with me.
