Hello from Omaha, Nebraska!
I recently submitted my CCW application, which should arrive in a couple of weeks. I am glad I found this forum and so glad to see so many freedom loving Americans pursuing their right to defend themselves against criminals (and possibly tyranny, which is simply another level of criminal).
I love that this website/forum is titled *Defensive* Carry. Defense is what this is all about. The only people who will ever have a problem with me are those who come after me, intending harm, despite the warnings I shall issue.
My hope is to see every able bodied, law abiding citizen in our country carry a firearm on their person for protection. When that happens, our streets and schools will indeed be safer than they are today. Losing our right to bear arms is really the same statement as criminals winning the right to force their will unopposed.
I am certain I am in good and like-minded company here.
God bless America, the last beacon of hope for a free world.

A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.

Welcome aboard, AO.
I, too, like the DefensiveCarry moniker. Used to be named CombatCarry, back when. The change more-appropriately reflects the focus, though. Good crew, here. Lots of highly experienced and capable folks who aren't afraid to pass on what they know or think about situations, training, gear.
Congratulations on your new (or, soon-to-be) CHL.
