Good Morning,
I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I am a teacher from Northwest Missouri (but I teach in Iowa). I am not new to guns but new to ccw, I am actually headed to take my class tomorrow. It is something I have always supported and always wanted to do but since my wife and I had our first little one 2 weeks ago I decided it is time to be ready to protect my family. Also with the uncertainty with our govt. I think I had better get my license now before something changes and I can't.
I hope to learn an bunch and contribute to the wealth of knowledge here.

Welcome from Massachusetts. I, like you, have owned (long) guns for many years. However, I never owned handguns and didn't CCW until my children were grown and out of the house. For right or wrong, I just didn't want handguns in the house when they were young.
