Thanks everyone! I'm slowly getting more and more comfy wearing it "around", in one manner or another. What surprises me the most is that carrying a loaded full sized pistol isn't as uncomfortable as I thought. And secondly, I need to make sure i have it secured in such a way that when I open it up and take a piss, it doesn't drag my pants to the floor:) Ha-ha! All is good so far, thanks for the welcome and advice. Will post in the newcomer's section until I'm not a "newbie"....

Welcome to the forum from SW Ohio. I carry a full size 1911 Kimber in a Galco IWB holster and wear a Galco belt. As others have said, don't worry about a little bit of a bulge showing occasionally--most people are totally oblivious as to their surroundings anyway. I wear Levis most of the time since I am retired and I wear a variety of unbuttoned shirts, from light weight cotton short sleeve to heavy flannel depending on the season and temperature. You might try one size larger than normal, and I have some clothes that are one size larger, but most of my "normal" clothes conceal my 1911 just fine. I also wear a variety of vest, depending on the weather--fleece to cotton. Some people don't like the look of "tactical" vests, and claim they make you a target of an armed bad-guy. I've never heard of a documented case of anyone in a vest being "shot first", and I've never had anyone give me a second look where I live regardless of how I'm dressed. Just my .02.
