    Welcome from South Carolina...
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

In July 2013 in Portland, Oregon, the Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network is hosting a two-day seminar on the legal aspects of the use of deadly force in self-defense. This is going to be led by Massad Ayoob and Marty Hayes. Highly recommended course, for anyone with a CHL.

I'm a newbie when it comes to guns too. When I was in college in Montana I did some hunting (deer, elk, grouse) and some playing around with shooting at targets (44mag revolvers). But that was 35 years ago and I haven't done a thing with guns since then. I guess the national scene has finally stirred me into feeling like it would be wise to change that situation.

I'll be going to a concealed carry class tonight and will be signing up for some additional classes as I'll definitely need some training. Along the way it is good to know that there is so much support here for any questions I might have.

    So, greetings to all!
    Glad to have you aboard!
