I recently took my Texas CHL class and I am in the process of getting my paperwork filled out and turned in to the State. I am looking forward to getting some good advice from this forum. While I am no stranger to pistols, I am a stranger to concealed carry and I must admit, a bit nervous. Thanks!

Well good luck with the paperwork, and I hope they approve your application and get the license to you in a timely manner.

One thing, after you turn your paperwork in and they send you the letter stating they are working on it and give you the website to check the progress. Well you will get your license before the website gives you any useful info other than it is being worked on.

Website was pointless when I did my several years ago.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

    Hello

Greetings from North Texas! I recently completed the required class for CHL an I am in the process of filling out the paperwork to send in to the State. I currently own a Glock 32 and a Ruger P95 (which I used to qualify). I am in the market for a gun that fits what I need. I will look until I find the one that I am most comfortable with. I am 31 and work in Tellecommunications. Any Texans put ther with some pointers on the paperwork? Maybe like how long the process takes and what they will reject it for?
