"Newbie"
Hello all,
I am not really new to this forum but somehow got locked out for years and was too lazy to sign up again. I have posted hundreds of posts under the same username but not for several years. I am a family Physician in Nashville and Pro 2A Pro carry guy. I routinely carry a Diamonback .380 as my primary pocket carry but usually have a Glock 27 or Ruger P95 9mm with me in some fashon (briefcase or car). I use a Sig 229 .40 as my primary bedside weapon with a Remington 870 nearby and have recently entered the AR-15 realm. I have a 115 lb black lab as my primary alarm system. If any of the "old timers" remember me, comment to reintroduce.
I have most calibers of defensive style weapons and can comment if anyone wants to know the subtle differences of a Colt Anaconda .44 magnum vs a Dan Wesson, etc. Glad to be back. The forum asked me who referred me and I answered "Big Dave" and "Sheepdog" but I am unsure if these guys are even still here.

Forgot to mention I found the Colt Anaconda in the LGS last summer. Went home to think it over decided to pick it up returned to the shop and it was gone!
I would rather have the Colt for collection and the Dan Wesson if I was going to shoot it alot.
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

Buckwheat--in a strange twist of events, both were given to me as gifts. The Colt was totally unfired in the original box with papers and the original colt cardboard sleeve. The Dan Wesson was unfired also. Now both are well fired but still in almost like new shape. Both are excellent weapons, but in MHO, you cannot beat a colt trigger. It is SMOOOTH, with a bunch more OO's. My wife loves to shoot the Dan Wesson (it is very heavy) at the range loaded with .44 special. It is almost like shooting a .22 as far a recoil, due to the weight. My wife is an excellent shot and can do well with the 8 inch barrel. Funny to see a little 40 year old blonde toating a .44 Magnum but she loves it. (She carries a S&W 38 special--hammerless aluminum. Hurts like hell to shoot it)
