Hello from Upstate NY
Hello all, my Wife has renewed my interest in shooting and handguns in particular. I am a former Marine 79-83,
currently have Ruger .357 bought in Jacksonville 1981, always wanted a full size 1911. Anyway, My Wife wanted to go to local gun show just to show our solidarity. ( God Bless Her.)
She got excited about having a pistol, had hunted as a kid bow & shotgun. Anyway we stop at a local gun shop ( just to look ) and after me pitching the .380 to her and the employee showing her a .32 she asked to see a Kimber 9mm, loved it &
whipped out her wallet started plunking down cash.I was shocked as she has never even fired a pistol. Anyway pistol course
on 10 Feb. and then app. for her and the long wait, as for me the full size 1911 is finally gonna happen this spring!
Plan to do a lot of practicing as I am very rusty & of course this is all new to Tracey. I plan to apply for unrestricted permit
in NY, my current permit is dated 2/84 if I can't get it upgraded there may be no hope at all. I learned about the Florida permit here and plan to apply for that as well. Looking forward to learning much more here as well.

A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.
