Not to burst anybody's bubble but frangible rounds are NOT suitable for self defense. In any caliber.
What these bullets do is create shallow wounds that do not even remotely come close to reaching the vitals on a grown man. It is widely accepted in the scientific and terminal ballistics fields that frangible ammunition is not effective and I think you would be wise to note that no Law Enforcement agency in the country uses frangibles over traditional hollow points. Look into the FBI's testing and IWBA testing protocols.
Again, I implore you, do not use frangible ammo. It is a gimmick. The .32 Auto is a weak cartridge to begin with, don't handicap it even further with sub par ammo. You NEED penetration in that caliber, trust me. If you want a good carry load use standard truncated cone ball ammo, Buffalo Bore makes a very hot .32 load that is hard cast flat nose and would serve you much better.
