Hello From AK! New to CC.
I spent a bit of time perusing the forum to get an idea of what would be my perfect concealable firearm. About a week ago I settled on the Ruger lcp and let me tell you I have been very happy with the decision. Obviously everyone has their opinion about the pocket pistol category and the effectiveness of the 380, but what I thought most important was that the firearm suited my lifestyle. I shoot it well and I love how it disappears in my IWB holster, saving my "nice guy" image. I'm looking forward to learning more about what others carry and why they have chosen to do so.

Welcome from Wisconsin!
I carry a mid-size .40 cal OWB. I'm going to size down a bit when my M&P40C ever comes. I might consider IWB but so far I've had no trouble concealing OWB.

It really doesnt matter what you carry, be proficient with it and carry it.

Welcome aboard. I'm suprised by your choice in the LCP. Based on your handle I thought you'd be a PPK man.

Just curious why you would think that someone discovering that you are exercising your 2nd amendment Rights would ruin your "nice guy image"?
Some of the nicest people I know carry firearms.
Anyway, welcome from Fort Worth, Texas.

Haha I was hoping someone would mention something like this. Probably not unlike a Texan, us Alaskans are born with a 12 gauge.

I certainly agree with you on this. The gun community I'm apart of are without a doubt the most genuine kindhearted people I know. I think it would have been more accurate for me to say that those I know outside of that community wouldn't expect it of me. I'm very confident in how I take responsibility for my own defense and am not ashamed. I would just prefer to keep things less pronounced.
