    Newby from Fayetteville NC

    Hi from Fayetteville NC. My daughter (Daddiesgirl) introduced me to this forum which looks quite interesting. I have been around firearms all of my life. As a child, I watched my father strap on his gun every day. I have held a concealed carry permit in New York state from 1966 until 1996 and in NC from 1996 until the present time (almost 50 years) I own an old Colt .38 detective Special snub nose (ala Humphrey Bogart) as my father carried; a Glock 19 9mm; a Mossberg 500 Tactical 12 Ga shotgun and 4 days ago purchased a Kimber Pro CDP II .45 which I have not yet had the pleasure of firing. My work up until retirement in 2006 took me into high crime areas necessitating a CCW. I also 18 years in the Army and National Guard as an Infantryman.
