Hello from Upstate SC
Though not entirely new to guns, having done a bit of quail and dove hunting on our South Georgia farm until I was graduated from high school in 1972, I did very little with guns afterwards. College and seminary and raising a family were priorities. Though things were less-than-perfect in our culture, it seemed as though things were somewhat safer and the government was on the side of traditional law-abiding citizens.
Things seem to be getting crazier, so I and several members of our church are planning to take the concealed weapons certification class this Saturday. I have a thirty-year-old Charter Arms .38 Special undercover revolver that I bought new and am looking for a good CC semi-auto. FWIW, I'm left-handed. And we have some really warm weather, so I need to find something concealable with shorts and a t-shirt as well as dress clothes. At any rate, I've been doing lots of searches and I appreciate everyone's contributions.
I would love to find an S&W M&P Shield 9mm to try, but they are pretty scarce. A 4th-gen Glock 26 and an M&P9C both look interesting. I've shot some pistols to see what I like, so I'm still in the discovery stage. At any rate, thanks for the great info around here.
