    Jumpin' in with both feet!

I'm Roger from North Carolina. Thursday I received my Pistol Purchase permit and, after shooting Glocks, Sigs and XD's, bought a Springfield Armory SubCompact XD .40 Cal with extended mag and regular mag, holster, dual mag holster, speed loader, belt, case, cleaning kit, ammo, what else?
Passed the Concealed Carry Class yesterday with three friends. Applying for permit tomorrow!
Got a membership at the local indoor range and plan on visiting with my friends to hone our skills.
Interested in action shooting. Got any suggestions?

Welcome. IDPA might be good to get your shooting skills sharp. Just remember , its a game, not real life tactics.

I am 74 and find IDPA rather challenging. The speed required and the agility are daunting. I may never even qualify but it sure is a lot of fun.

I shoot a Kimber 45 with adjustable target sights. Anyone with suggestions for a replacement sight that I can install myself? The target sights are not too good for fast target acquisition.
