Greetings from Virginia
Hey all, I'm a former Marine with experience in a wide variety of firearms, and will be undergoing the process of getting my CCW here shortly (recently moved from Maryland, where it's nigh on impossible to receive one).
I have experience with everything from .22LR to .45 ACP (my favorite caliber by far). Have yet to fire a .50AE, although I would like to one of these days.
I'm currently in the market for a Sig P239 9mm as my intended carry weapon. I like the feel of Sigs, and 9mm seems to be a comfortable balance for me load-wise in a CCW weapon. Was thinking about a P232, but opted not to go for the rather small .380 round. I also didn't like the European mag release.
So, needless to say, I've been following rather intently your discussions on carry preference, especially those threads that concern the Sig P239.
I currently own a Kimber Custom II that I LOVE! Accurate right out of the box, and has never jammed or FTF for any reason whatsoever in over 1,000 rounds through it. If it wasn't so big (and I'm a fairly big guy), I believe it would make an excellent CCW choice, which is why I'm doing some research into Pro Carries and the like.
Well, back to reading!

Welcome from Alabama, Nate. My wife and I both carry Sig P239s. I carry the 9mm. She carries the .357 SIG. That's because she is a better shot. I want the one that has the most ammo.
