Newbie needs input on IWB Concealed Carry holsters and ranges.

Hi I am a new member from NJ. Looking for input on good ranges & holsters for concealed carry.

I have a PM9, just bought a new IWB from Remora it is very nice and seems to work well. I am looking to get input from others as to their thoughts on Remora.

Welcome from Tennessee.......the "Patron State of Shootin' Stuff!"

Since I am not in your area, I really don't know of any ranges to recommend. However, if you're in the market for another good IWB rig I suggest the Gould & Goodrich shown below. You can get one from Midway and the item number is 385909. It is an excellent holster... I have one on right now as a matter of fact...very comfortable. The second pic is mine with my carry basics.

I strongly recommend the ACE-1 holster from SHTF Gear LTD. (SHTF Gear Holsters - American Made, Fast Shipping, Comfortable Holsters) It is a hybrid (Kydex and leather) holster designed for IWB carry. Very comfortable and well built. Nice guys to work with, too.

No, I am not connected with SHTF Gear, but I do have several of their holsters.

    Welcome to the forum!

I own a Remora for my P95. Despite being a fairly large/heavy pistol, the Remora keeps that sucker in place if I put it anywhere from 3 o'clock to 5:30. However, it doesn't work for me anywhere forward of my hip if I have to sit down. Pushes it right out of place. Overall, I wouldn't want to depend on it as my only holster, but I think it works as advertised and is a great addition to anyone's holster collection!

^^^^^^^^^agreed....Remora and or Sticky holster work well for strong side carry 3-5 position...do not work well for forward of 3 position when sitting..........Lots of choices here on this IWB option.....Alien gear, Old Faithful, Crossbreed, White Hat, and SHTF.
(all of which work excellent in any position)....All well made, comfortable. Pick a price range and/or color.....

    Welcome from Fort Worth, Texas.

For an IWB holster, get a MaxTuck from White Hat Holsters White Hat Holsters... gun gear for the GOOD guys!

Their interchangeable kydex system makes it really easy and economical to switch out the kydex when you change your carry gun.

    Welcome from Wisconsin!

I'm starting to research IWB holsters for the time my M&P 40C gets delivered. I thought I'd give it a try. That SHTF Ace looks good to me but I wish I could see one in a store & handle it first. I've never had much luck with mail order items. The service was always good & I never was stiffed but the product was just not quite the way I saw it pictured. Since I carry everyday all day I need something concealable & more important, comfortable. I OWB a full size M&P 40 just fine. I have a drawer full of holsters as it is, all OWB & some are great, all are useable to one degree or another depending on what I'm wearing.

    Welcome to here.

    In response to your questions
1- not in new jersey. Don't know any ranges
2- holster recommendations depend heavily on where on your person you plan to carry and your build.

I use a 3Speed Holster. I wear it in drawstring shorts and tee (I do wear a tank top tee underneath it all to keep gun, holster off skin & sweat of gun). I have a Sticky Holster (similar to Remora and unless i am wearing something with a belt i really don't trust it (It has fallen through my shorts twice already , and that was just around the house).

I have heard great reviews on the forums about Foxx Holsters, Cleveland Holsters & Midworld Holsters. this fall i think ill try one of them out.
