    Oklahoma Carry Laws

I am new to this forum, so here goes. I am a 53 year old male, married for the second time, with two grown children from my first marriage. I have a heavy equipment repair business.

I have a question; recently I saw where legislation had been introduced in Oklahoma permitting those without concealed carry permits to carry a loaded firearm in their vehicle for self-defense purposes. I have not seen any information as to whether or not this legislation has passed. Has anyone else heard of this legislation, and if so, can you direct me to an official site where I might see the outcome.

    Thanks

I heard it mentioned but don't think it went further than that. I would check OSBI web page for all SDA info on transporting a loaded firearm.

I think Dono hit it on the nose. I had heard it as well, but this was the only thing currently on the books, per osbi's website:

    OSCN Found Document:Firearms in Vehicles

It must be unloaded, and I believe that it's mentioned elsewhere the the ammunition cannot be within reach of the driver.
