Hey everybody I'm Nick. This is my first post to kinda break the ice I suppose. I've been to this site a few times and enjoyed what I saw, so I chose to join in order to gain more feedback and info.
I am not permited to carry a firearm at this time. I completed my class and sent in my application around a month ago and I'm still waiting for my permit. I figured now is a perfect time to continue learning from the more experenced before the time comes.
I work as a security officer currently where we are unarmed. Hopefully shortly work will be the only place I have to be unarmed. I hope to become a police officer within the next few years, its been a goal of mine for several years.
I currently only own one handgun, it is a S&W M&P 40 full size. I have been told it could be a little large for a carry weapon. I'm not a small person and have large hands it fits in much better than many of the compact handguns I've held. I guess I'll find out, any input would be helpful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to talk with yall in the future.

Have you tried out any holsters for your M&P 40? Only you can decide if it's too big for you to carry or not. If not, I'd suggest getting a holster and wearing it around the house until your permit comes to find out.

Welcome from Ohio!
If I can AIWB a 4" barrel S&W SD40VE, you should be able to carry the M&P.
