    Greetings from Maine

First post here. Have read some post and bit the bullet to sign up. Have a few handguns in my collection but finally have a carry piece on lay away. Saw a Ruger SR40C yesterday and just couldn't help myself. Have read many opinions on the little shooter that were dated in 2011 and 2012. Have to wonder if the problems still exist or if they have been addressed at Ruger? Anyone have any input on the current production of these? Might be influencial info before I actually pick the gun up.

    Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to DC.com! You might want to copy and paste your question to the general gun forum Defensive Carry Guns because a lot more people will see it.

Hi Mainlyconcealed! Welcome to the forum from Texas. This is a great place to learn and to share! You might try searching for 'SR40C' on the forum and also posting your question on the general firearms discussion sub-forum so your question will get more visibility. Is there a local gun store that let's you rent the gun? That's the best way to see if the gun's for you. I found this from 2013 - Ruger SR40 & SR40C Review - The Firing Line Forums and this from 2012: Review update on SR40c - Ruger Forum

Congrats on making the decision to carry concealed and to protect yourself and your loved ones.

I haven't had any real issues with mine. I haven't been to a range in awhile so next time I go I expect some misfires do to being rusty.
