Hi Everyone. I'm new to this forum and guns. Just completed my CWP class. Shot a pistol for the 1st time, ever, to complete my test. Beretta.22lr. It was a lot of fun despite being nervous! Managed to hit the bullseye several times & keep the rest of the shots close in the chest area. Ha. Going to get my fingerprints for SLED today and will be looking for a new gun with low recoil. My husband has 2 revolvers, and I like the simplicity of those guns but have not fired them. I have 3 kids, am very concerned about safety, and I need to practice, practice, practice. My oldest child, age 12, has a heck of a shot with a special edition NRA red rider bb gun, and I'm determined to encourage her love of shooting by becoming proficient in safety, defense, and accuracy myself. Guns, a bird crazy Vizsla, and God's country is a great way to spend time with my family, and I have been missing out due to fear. That is going to change along with my ability to protect if needed. A lot to learn. Thank you for having me on this forum.
