I have been lurking here for a little over a year. I have been very impressed with the respect most everyone shows each other here on this forum as well as the amount of knowledge available. I have learned quite a bit and been entertained at the same time. I was taught gun safety at an early age and hunted small game with an old single shot 20ga as a kid. That was the extent of my experience until I started to get interested in handguns recently. I have had my CHL for just under a year now and carry everywhere legal. I probably won't post very often because I have more to learn than offer right now. I am just glad to be here.

In honor of your post, I have just donned my cowboy hat that I bought in the Fort Worth Stockyards in 1989. We stayed that evening to go to the Randy Travis concert. I remember the announcer on a PA system telling everyone "and don't any of you miss the opening act for Randy this evening...this girl is going to be a big name one day and you can hear her today right here....get here early and hear Martina McBride!"
Welcome. We're glad to have you here also!
You might want to post a few welcome to the forum posts to new members to get your post count over 5 so people will know you've been a member for more than an hour or so. Some people don't realize that if you post on the topic: "Off Topic and Humor" you don't get a count credit, so your post count stays at 1. If your post count stays at 1 people keep welcoming you.......which isn't all bad either.
And I'll bet you have more to offer the rest of us than you realize.

Talking to each other here is good, but taking action is better.

What ShooterGranny said is so true. The main thing to remember is to follow the Golden Rule. Sometimes I forget that and I have the points to prove it.
