Hi gang. I've been reading here for a while, waiting with bated breath while the AG was doing background checks and processing paperwork.
I got my Kansas concealed carry approval letter yesterday. I'm official!
A bit about me... I've lived in Kansas City my entire life. I'm a shooting enthusiast, (mostly target), and I'm a proud American looking forward to exercising my Constitutional rights. I, like all of you, believe that those of us who are upstanding, responsible citizens and choose to carry legally are what make this country great.
As for equipment, my carry gun is a Glock 27 (.40), I also have a Beretta 96 (.40), Smith & Wesson 5906 (9mm), and a Ruger P345 (.45ACP). I also own a Mossberg 835 (12gauge), a Ruger P/22 (.22), and a Japanese World War II bolt action rifle (caliber unknown) captured by my grandfather. In January, I'm adding a Kimber Ultra Carry (stainless .45ACP), and a Ruger M77 Mark II (.350 Rem Mag) already sighted in with 100 custom loaded rounds.
Anyhow, thanks for letting me hang out!

Welcome from Junction City. Been a long time coming and looks like it's gonna be a little longer. Sposed to be able to go 2 Jan. and pick CCW. I have been reading that all state ofices will be closed that day for the former pres Ford. Oh well, could be worse. Hair could be on fire. Have a good time here, there are more smarts here than all other sites combined.
