    Smile Hello from Texas

Hello, I'm new to this forum and glad I found it. Very helpful and knowledgeable people with great posts and ideas. I'm new to concealed carry, still waiting for my CHL to print in Texas. There's a 3 to 4 month backlog here! Business is good!

I love talking guns/ammo/holsters/mags, etc. Getting my 15 year old son into firearms (actually he was into it long ago, he's getting ME back into it).

    My firearms are:

Springfield XDM 3.8" compact 9mm (home defense gun)

FNS FN 9mm (keeping it warm for my son until he turns 21)

Walther PPS 9mm (ordered last week, on the way from dealer). - will be my concealed carry weapon

This is a great forum. Lots of good info and friendly insight.
Do you shoot at American shooting center or Tactical Firearms?

It shouldn't take 3 to 4 months to get your CHL. Not sure now, but my wife and I got ours within 2 months.
    My wife carries a Sig P938, I carry a Kimber Ultra CDP 2 .45
Where did you take the CHL course?

Welcome to the forum. Great to hear that your son got you "back where you belong" in the world of shooting for enjoyment and practicing for self defensive carry. Good folks in this group.

    Greetings From Richmond/Rosenberg, TX

Wow 2-3 months. I have had my TX CHL for just over a year. I sent my paper work in end of Jan 2013 it took 6 weeks then. Good luck .
