Hello fellow concealed carry ladies and gents. I must apologize for my lousy spelling, my user name should actually be Gun Loving Liberal (not Liveral) but such are typos. I will correct the spelling within days, once I figure out how to work everything.
First, my name is true, there really are a few of us, who are basically political liberals but disagree with gun control laws. I guess I harken back to another time (I am almost 54) when politics were less polarized. People were certainly liberal or conservative, but it was common for, say, a Democrat to agree 80% with the party but break with them on a few key issues. Likewise for Republicans. Now it seems most people are 100% one way. I think we got more done the older way and that is the only political argument I am every going to make here!
But it is true that gun ownership in Oklahoma is far from strictly party line!
My avatar is my most frequently concealed carry piece, a Charter Arms Tracker, 5 shot in .357 magnum with 2 and 1/2 inch barrell. I usually load it with .38 plus p federal Hydrashocks as I found the use of .357 regularly made the gun a little loose. Charter Arms is a good pistol but would not hold up well to steady diets of magnums. My wife and I received our concealed carry permits last year and I have felt much more relaxed, especially when traveling.
In Oklahoma, even we liberals like guns!

This is a great board, for all persuasions; folks disagree without getting disagreeable.
Probably more folks on here lean right than left, but there is a delightful absence of rudeness and stridence about it.
When I saw your name, I wondered if you drank too much...
I'm Democrat, too....but I'd just love to see ol' Hillary or Diane or Nancy come and try to take MY freakin' 13-round XD45 magazines off of me....
