Hello from P'cola
Shane here from the Gulf Coast of FL. I'm an engineer for a Navy Command, graduated from UF (see avatar!), enjoy militaria (particularly WWII small arms), cigars, fine wine, and I'm a bit of a beer snob. And you are?
I just submitted paperwork for my FL CCW a couple of days ago. None of the handguns I own are really suited for carry, so I'm in the market for a new purchase. I've pretty much decided upon a Springfield XD 45 Compact (4") after reading some glowing reviews, range reports, and after fondling one for a while at a local gun show.
So, for the other FL CCW folks - how long did it take for your permit to come? Is it really as long as 90 days?
Physics makes us all its bitches.

Welcome Shane. My wife and I were married on Pensacola Beach, about 4 miles east of the pier area. Beautiful evening it was.....then the next day we spent in the water watching the Blue Angels fly.
This is a good place to hang out if you are into concealed carry.
