    Hello from Korea

Although I call my residence Hawaii and my home of record Illinois, I'm currently in Korea where my unit is (reserve, but attached to an active duty unit). Found this forum while doing research on which firearm to pick as my carry gun, as well as what holster to use. But more on that in another section!
I'm returning to the states this summer, and will be visiting the mainland for about six weeks (North Carolina - my third home). When I can be legally armed, as I can be in North Carolina via my Utah CCW, I am. Unfortunately, usually I'm either in Korea, Hawaii, or Illinois, all of which forbid lawful concealed carry (Korea forbids personal ownership in the home as well, but at least U.S. service members can keep our weapons in the armory).

If, by slim chance, any of you live in Korea and would like to shoot, I invite you to join the recently re-activated shooting club (it was temporarily suspended while the president was deployed to Iraq). See http://www.seoulshooting.org. I'm the one on the far right in the Inchon Shooting Complex picture, left side of the pretty lady.

Welcome Major E. I just returned from Korea myself in December. I also did my research for my carry gun while there and decided on the S&W M&P in .40, and I love it. Good luck and stay safe.

Welcom from New Hampshire. Although I have limited posts, had read a lot, and been a member for a little while. This the best forum I have found! Been posting more lately, have gotten addicted... seeking counseling for my addiction, but I hope I don't get cured

That's a bummer, right there. Plenty of other places to live that don't restrict your rights to carry.

    Welcome to the forum.

The first time I was in Korea I shot pistol with the 8th Army (Spt Cmd) AMU. Our home range was at Yongsan near what was the Army transit barracks there. It was an outside range, and there was a skeet range nearby. I'm wondering if that is the range your club is using now? (BTW: This was in the 1960s.)
