    Hello from Central Virginia

    This looks like an interesting place. I'm glad to be here and looking forward to learning from you all, and contributing what I can. I'm not a collector and don't have many guns, but I've tried to pick good tools and want to use what I have well. I started considering carrying on a full-time basis after 9/11, and spent some time studying what was available, what fit my situation, and what training was available. I completed my required training and applied for my CCW on 11 September 2003 and started carrying in October of that year.

    Know the area, well. I lived in Manassas for a few years, then eight years on a farm in Haymarket, then four years outside Warrenton, before moving to Richmond. Nice country up there.
