    I just carried for the first time! (Michigan)

    Got my letter 2 weeks ago to meet the Gun Board.

    Yesterday, got my new shinny CPL permit.

    Last night i "volunteered" to run any errand my wife needed. Kind of funny, but she needed some "femine products", took my first trip to Wallyworld packing to buy some Tampons.

    I am the typical newbie as described on this site. I have a Taurus P92 w/ paddle holster. My next gun will definitely be smaller. But, my holster is comfortable and after a couple of minor adjustments - it felt like i'd carried a gun my whole life.

    I'm looking forward to learning more about HD and personal protection. Thanks for all that comment on this forum.

    Welcome, take your time on getting a new gun, rent as many as you can to help with your decision. Whatever we say on what gun is best is our ideas, though mostly good, may not work for you, so check it out for yourself.

    It's a great feeling to be armed isn't it? Your gun is fine for carry BTW, the paddle holsters tend to position the gun a little further from the side than say a pancake type holster. Well, ok, the Taurus P92 is a bit long, but still manageable.

    But if you're looking for an excuse to buy a new gun, then I would add, why are you carrying that big ol heavy thing?

    I also agree about taking your time getting a new gun. Find one that will fill your needs in every avenue of carry.
