    newbie

    Howdy all, came over from the Ruger forum through a link to a video. Northern VA here. Carry weapon is a Ruger P97DC .45ACP, or Security Six in .357 magnum. Open carry is great in VA. Just can't open carry in the courthouse, even mags are verboten. Ask me how I know. Looking forward to some grins and giggles and powder smoke. Dale

    Welcome open carry would be nice legal here but i wouldnt bet ya make it 5 mins here

    Thanks for the welcome, I think the ease of open carry in VA is mostly due to the efforts of the VCDL. I moved here from the state of Washington about a year ago and what a change. A few looks and 1 person whispered to me my 'weapon was exposed'. I checked my zipper and then explained the law about open/concealed carry. Dale

    Welcome CCW - I too have a 97DC tho not as carry - very effective gun - if a tad ''fugly'' LOL
