Hi from Thieveland, Ohydro
Whats up everyone...Ohio here. My current weapon of choice is an XD-45 tactical. My backup is a S&W .38 special airweight. I love the XD
I have a question regarding home invasions: Are you in trouble if you kill an unarmed home invader? I hear so many different "facts" from different people regarding this, and just wondered how it works. Is it different state-by-state?
Personally, I don't want to wait to find out if someone is armed, and believe that the minute someone crosses into your threshold, it's life or death.
Thanks

They are left in full possession of them."

hey fellow Springfieldian! welcome from NE! I'm not sure about your question, I'm not sure I know of many courts that would convict you, but you might have better luck posting in a different section, try Issues and Discussions maybe? Just an observation
"

Wear a gun to someone else's house, you're saying, 'I'll defend this home as if it were my own.' When your guests see you carry a weapon, you're telling them, 'I'll defend you as if you were my own family"

Welcome to the forum.
The short answer to your question is that the laws vary from state to state.

Battle Plan (n) - a list of things that aren't going to happen if you are attacked.
Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

With regard to my state, Colorado, a short answer can be found in Wikipedia if you search for "Make My Day Law".
