Hello all, I have been a sheepdog for a few years now but I just found this site. I just switched my primary carry from a ruger p-90 .45 to an XD .40 sub. Don’t get me wrong I love my ruger but it is big and heavy and a bit difficult to conceal in the summertime. In steps the Springfield.this is much lighter smaller and easier to hide.

Hey xd.40sub,
I had a Ruger P94 in .40 cal I used for years. For a while as my duty pistol AND concealed carry - then later just for duty and got smaller for cc.
Recently I sold the Ruger to get S&W's M&P .40 with the accessory rail.
Ruger was for sure a good shooter but I liked the M&P having a "little brother" (M&P .40c) and the rails on both enough to make the switch.
