Hi everyone. I've enjoyed reading for the past few days and I thought I'd introduce myself.
I've had my CHL for just a few weeks and haven't really gotten my feet wet yet. I have been out to the range and punched a lot of holes in paper, but I'm not about to carry until I have better confidence in my proficiency.
This past weekend I went to the Fort Worth Gun Show and picked up a new carry piece: Walther PPS First Edition.
These are brand new - my serial number is less than 130. Of course being new, there isn't much available in accessories like holsters. But that will come with time. For now, it's getting out to the gun range and hitting targets.
I'm glad I've found this forum and I hope I can add something of value to the discussions!

Very wise but - do all you can to improve things to gain that and then carry now you are legally able. One more good guy around.I'm not about to carry until I have better confidence in my proficiency.

I lived in DFW area for about 7 years (flowermound area(more specificly highland village area)) and loved it; it was a very good place to grow up/live. Good judgment on not carrying until you are profficent;however, you should get profficent asap. Anyhow, welcome to the forum and enjoy your time here.
